Do You Need Dice for Sabacc?
Yes, it makes each variant much easier to play if you have the correct dice. Sabacc, the iconic card game from the Star Wars universe, is primarily played with cards, but depending on the version of the game you’re playing, dice will also be an important part. In some variations of Sabacc, such as the Corellian Spike and Traditional Sabacc, you use dice to add an extra layer of randomness and strategy to the game. In these versions, the dice determine card swaps. Although you don’t need ones that look exactly the same as the ones Han Solo uses, it adds a lot to the immersion.
With Kessel Sabacc and Coruscant Shift, the dice are more important and more specific. While Kessel uses the classic Sabacc Dice, Coruscant Shift has a specific set. One die has target numbers to match your hand to, while the other die has the three suits to act as a tie-breaker.

What Do the Symbols on Han Solo’s Dice Mean?
We now know that they represent the numbers 1-6. Han Solo’s golden dice, famously seen in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Solo: A Star Wars Story, are a symbol of his daring and luck.
